Richmond Public Schools Celebrates #ISW2022

Richmond Public Schools students and teachers

Richmond Public Schools in Richmond, Virginia celebrated Inclusive Schools Week 2022 and shared their plans and activities with the Inclusive Schools Network! The selected activities engaged students in thinking deeply about their peers and how they can be more understanding of the world we live in.  The event gathered students, families, and the community in person to celebrate inclusion.

RVA OWL Circle of Friends Inclusion and Diversity Day was celebrated during Inclusive Schools Week, and included games such as cornhole, a giant-sized connect four, an art station, a book giveaway, and much more! RVA OWL Circle of Friends is a club where exceptional and general education scholars come together to build new friendships. The scholars learn, collaborate, and grow with one another. The main focus/purpose of the group is inclusion and building friendships. They do this through games/activities, interest groups, and so much more.
