The American Federation of Teachers (AFT) hosted a contest in celebration of Inclusive Schools Week to highlight effective inclusive educational practices in elementary, middle and high schools around the United States.  Winners of the "Best Ideas for Inclusive Schools" contest have been selected, and descriptions of their winning practices are now posted on the AFT website.

The winners of the "Best Ideas for Inclusive Schools" contest are:

• William H. Bashaw Elementary School, Bradenton, FL - Grand Prize Winner!
• John F. Deering Middle School, West Warwick, RI
• Queens High School of Teaching, Liberal Arts and the Sciences, Queens, NY
